PBR 722
Patrol Boat River 722 was the second PBR Mk II boat built at Uniflite Bellingham in 1972 (Hull Number 31RP722). The Hull number stands for 31Ft/ River Patrol/ 1972 / #2.
PBR 722 was ordered by the Israeli Navy along with PBR 721. Both were hard top Corsair versions. The order was canceled during the build process, and PBR 722 and PBR 721 were added to PBR boats #723,#724#7206, #7210,#7211 already ordered by the US Navy for Coastal River Division XI predecessor to SBU XI which was established in 1978. Out of the 10 boats built that year (1972), 7 of the boats went to the former Naval Inshore Operations Training Centre (NIOTC) ,Mare Island. PBR 721 and PBR 722 were the only Hard Top versions in service with the US Navy.
PBR 722 spent her Navy life at Mare Island as a training boat for SBU XI, she was also deployed on training operations to Washington State. Her call sign at SBU XI was ¨Military School 722¨
