PBR 722 was acquired from Dan Withers of Port Ludlow, WA by Tina Beaumont and Laurence van der Eb, a professional Jet Boat driver and operator of Clutha River Cruises in Central Otago, New Zealand.
Our mission is to restore PBR 722 and have her fully operational on the South Island of New Zealand´s largest river the  Mighty Clutha River.
PBR 722 will be based in Clyde, Central Otago, New Zealand.
Presently PBR 722 is in storage at The Rats Nest / North West Chapter of Gamewardens since undergoing initial restoration at Arlington, Washington State. She is in great company alongside PBR – 31RP7336 and PBR – J7844. PBR 722 is to be restored as close as original as possible with a bit of a twist as we intend to equip her with Hamilton Jet Units made in Christchurch New Zealand.
This will be done for practical reasons and in recognition of New Zealand as the home of Jet Boating and Hamilton Jet of Christchurch NZ as pioneers of the waterjet propulsion system.
We will  thus be combining arguably the most iconic and documented Jet Boat in history with the original innovators of the Jet Unit.
Clutha River Cruises will offer complimentary trips on PBR 722 to Vietnam Vets from the US, New Zealand and Australia and will be to the best of our knowledge the only PBR in operation in the southern hemisphere.
